How to Use PF-72

Mixing Instructions (Preparation before use)

  • Prepare the PF-72 product and Ropivacaine 0.75% (Ropivacaine Hydrochloride) solution (sold separately by the hospital).
  • Remove the aluminum cap from the top of the PF-72 product vial.
  • Using a sterile syringe, precisely inject the Ropivacaine 0.75% (Ropivacaine Hydrochloride) solution into the vial containing the lyophilized powder.
  • Place the vial into the dedicated PF-72 stirring refrigerator and press the power button.
  • Store in refrigerated conditions (2-8°C) for approximately 8 hours to dissolve the lyophilized powder.

How to Use PF-72 (Continued) Administration Instructions

  • Using a vial adapter, draw the PF-72 mixture into a 5ml or 10ml syringe.
  • Attach an 18-gauge needle to the 5ml or 10ml syringe and place it on the operating room stand.
  • The PF-72 mixture in the syringe should be applied in one of two ways after the surgery is complete, but before the surgical site is closed:
    -Evenly apply and inject into the surgical incision area.
    -Inject and sufficiently fill the space between the sutured incision surfaces.
